43 Years of History with... The eatnix

Since their formation in March 1980, The Beatnix have been hailed as one of the finest Beatles tributes bands.

The bands performances feature actual musical instruments identical to those used by The Fab Four. These include extremely rare and valuable Gretsch, Hofner, Rickenbacker, and Gibson guitars, Vox AC30 guitar amplifiers, and a Vox AC50 bass amplifier with a T60 bass cabinet. Highlights include a genuine 'Rocky' Stratocaster, both Epiphone trademark 'JL' casinos, Rickenbacker 325 and 4000 guitars, and many more! The drums are also identical to those played by Ringo, a 1960s Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl kit with Zildjian cymbals.

The instruments are then coupled with a variety of early period Beatles costumes, such as 1962 vests, 1964 suits, and 1965 Shea Stadium Jackets (from BeatleStyle in the UK), as well as colourful Sgt Pepper's duplicates, White Album, and Abbey Road outfits, to provide the full Beatles experience.

The Beatnix have played worldwide, including performances in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bangkok, and New Zealand, as well as for Royalty in Brunei.

Domestically, they have performed in large venues such as the AFL Grand Final at the Sydney Olympic Stadium [with over 100,000 people], Sydney Darling Harbour [with The Merseyside Orchestra], Sydneys' Taronga Zoo Twilight Concert Series, The Melbourne Zoo, John Cain Arena, Sydney Opera House, The Gove Peninsular Festival, Alice Springs Race Week, Gold Coast Wintersun Festival and many more!

Largely a live act, the group have also released numerous albums. One of their notable albums "It's Four You," was released in 1998 and features the band recreating 19 songs written by Lennon/McCartney that were never released by the Beatles. There have been numerous TV appearances over the years including‘Hey Hey Its’ Saturday’, ‘The Midday Show’, and ‘Good Morning Australia’. Their most famous appearance being on ‘The Money and The Gun,’ where they performed a Beatle-style version of Led Zeppelin's ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ which has gained millions of views on YouTube.

With fresh leadership taking over prior to COVID – the new team have developed arguably its strongest line-up to date with a string of themed shows under their belt including ‘Please Please Me’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’,‘Abbey Road’ as well as the ‘Red+ Blue’ reissues released in 2023.

In 2024, The Beatnix will embark on an Australian tour commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Beatles one and only tour of AUS/NZ recreating the setlist song by song and the original outfits. Many more surprises to come throughout the year!
